Hello and welcome to my listing! My name is Brooke Nicole. I am a bubbly, 35 year-old photographer, doll collector and doll artist. I have been creating ethnic reborn dolls since 2001, and I am lovin' every minute of it!

Today, I am delighted to present Dregan Maddox for your adoption consideration. He is based on the detailed Realborn Owen kit by Bountiful Baby.

Guided by an artistic ability, both acquired and intuitive, I spent several weeks blissfully crafting Dregan into a one-of-a-kind portrayal of an ethnic, AA or A/A (African-American), multiracial, biracial, Latino or black baby boy. Supreme art materials were used in his creation. He is an heirloom-quality bundle of kissable art, who wishes to be adopted and proudly treasured by a loving mommy.

Few words can express the frenzy I experience when I lay eyes on a blank canvas. Dregan arrived to me as an unpainted, blank doll kit. Once I developed an artistic vision for him, I immediately whipped out my assortment of trusty paint brushes and diligently hand painted his Honey Berry skin tone. Representing the spectrum of tan ethnic skin tones, Honey Berry is medium honey brown coloring with peachy undertones and babyish mulberry accents.

Dregan's skin tones flaunt exceptional coloring variations! His carefully arranged shadows feather directly into his prismatic midtones, displaying a flawless multi-dimensional effect. Subtle turquoise veins and crimson red capillaries are strategically painted beneath his sprinkle of skin mottling, giving the illusion of a circulatory system. His majestic chestnut shading, immaculate copper highlights, and dewy skin finish will make him a stand-out addition to any doll collection.

Dregan's photographs were taken in natural sunlight at different times of the day. Each photo accurately represents his coloring. The sunlight loves to dance around his painted shadows making his overall coloring appear lighter, darker, reddish, or even golden depending on the available light. His vinyl skin behaves just as real brown skin does. He is extremely photogenic just like a real baby! :)

Dregan's hands and feet are utterly adorable! Not only are they petite and precious, they are also masterfully colored. I adore the ebony pigmentation on his little knuckles and toes. The palms of his hands and soles of his feet showcase realistic rosy tints and highly intricate veining. His tiny nail beds are impeccably manicured with dazzling salmon hues and glossy, protective lacquer.

My painting techniques require a great deal of time and patience. I always use photos of real ethnic babies (mostly family members) as guides when creating my works of art. Every inch of Dregan's coloring was achieved using durable, artist quality, heat-set paints.

Dregan has open nostrils. I personally love how his 3D painted eyebrows compliment his rooted eyelashes.

Dregan's pinky-pie lips are one of his hallmark features! His little pout not only boasts sophisticated tonal distinctions, but also a deep coral glow surrounded by a subtle chocolate contrast. His tiny ears show a splendid medley of painted veins, capillaries and dark brown pigmentation. No detail was overlooked on this adorable newborn!

Hundreds of black mohair strands are securely threaded through Dregan's vinyl scalp. The swirl at his crown spirals clockwise into raised raven waves. He has cute little cowlicks that mom can brush anyway she likes once Dregan arrives home. The painted hair line effortlessly blends into his little curlicues.

Dregan's mohair needs to be cared for and styled just like a real ethnic baby's hair. His hair density is medium-thick and can be gently brushed and combed. It responds best to water, paraben-free leave-in conditioners, and alcohol-free sculpting gels.

Dregan's hair is dry in every photo. Sculpting gel allows the hair to retain a sleek, moist look in its dry state. A hair styling tutorial is included as part of his care package.

Not only does Dregan look real, but he feels real too! He is the size of a real newborn measuring approximately 20 inches long and weighing in at 6 pounds, 4 ounces. His soft torso is made of peach doe suede. He is professionally weighted with steel pellets, plastic pellets and huggable clouds of polyester filling. His limbs are filled with extra fine, granulated glass. The feel of the packed granulated glass mimics human bone and tissue.

Dregan is very squishy and cuddly, just like a real baby. He is also very poseable. His head turns easily from side to side, and needs support when he is held.

The best part of collecting life-like dolls is shopping for real infant clothing at consignment shops, department stores and swanky boutiques! Dregan wears newborn sized clothing and size 0 baby shoes. His full vinyl arms and full vinyl legs make shopping a breeze!

Dregan will arrive home wearing the handsome blue onesie in the photos. His onesie is made of the finest combed cotton! It feels delicious in your arms! The adorable upcycled moon cap is also included.

In addition to an extravagant "baby shower in-a-box", Dregan will arrive home with an extra outfit, a baby blanket, an adorable plush bear, two disposable diapers, a magnetic pacifier, and a brush and comb set.

I will email Dregan's new mommy a colorful birth certificate complete with my logo, signature and care instructions.

Believe me when I say I live by precision and excellence when it comes to doll making. My babies are showered with fine details and pure artistic love. Dregan's description is 100% accurate, and you will not be disappointed if you adopt him. He is a handsome little prince for sure!

Dregan is not a toy and is intended for an adult doll collector. He was created in a smoke-free, pet friendly home. Only items stated in the listing will be sent home with him.

Thank you so much for visiting!
